Este taller está dirigido a estudiantes, profesionales, y personas interesadas en el ámbito creativo.
A través de la realización de diferentes ejercicios, nos centraremos en la experimentación formal y de contenido propios del proceso artístico.
Como idea conductora del taller, y para el desarrollo de los diferentes ejercicios, partiremos de la idea de hilo.
El hilo ha sido un elemento esencial para los humanos a lo largo de la historia, cumpliendo, por ejemplo, con las necesidades básicas de proporcionar calor y protección. En este taller nos centraremos en las ideas asociadas a éste, y su uso tanto de forma física como abstracta, como herramienta que conecta los elementos plásticos de la obra, así como las ideas que se encuentran detrás de ésta. „ A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men; and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects“.Herman Melville, (1818-1891)
Una de las preguntas que nos plantearemos será de qué forma podemos adaptar ésta idea a nuestro trabajo. Existe la posibilidad de hacerlo de una forma literal? Pueden un cable, una lína, o incluso una historia convertirste en nuestro hilo?
A través de diferentes técnicas de trabajo alrededor de la plasticidad, volumen, y relación entre objeto y cuerpo, será nuestra intención descubrir nuevos formatos, tanto de trabajo como de obra.
Uno de los objetivos de este taller será cambiar de posición al trabajar, para poder descubrir nuevas vias de investigación.
Durante este proceso se prestará especial atención a la idea de espacio y sus posibilidades para iniciar un proceso creativo, así como la forma en que unimos los diferentes elementos que conforman la obra.
Una de las finalidades de este taller es la realización de ejercicios de forma rápida, que puedan ser útiles para el posterior desarrollo de forma independiente por parte de los participantes.
Para la participación en el workshop, es necesario mandar por correo electrónico tres fotografías de obra del participante.
Es necesario también que los participantes traigan materiales con los que no estan acostumbrados a trabajar. Se aconseja que sean materiales que permitan un uso/manipulación rápida, para ser capaces de hacer ejercicios rápidos.

This workshop is aimed for students, professionals, and people who are interested in the creative fields.
With the realization of different exercises, we will focus on the experimentation of both the formal aspects of the artistic process and its content.
As as starting point, and for the development of the different assignments, we will work with the idea of thread. The tread has been an essential element to humans along history, and some of its basic functions have been and are to provide warmth and protection. In this workshop we will focuse on the ideas related to this one, and its use both in a physical and abstract way, as a tool that connects the different elements of the work, as well as the ideas that are behind it. „ A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men; and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects“.

Some of the questions we will make ourselves will be how can we transfer this idea to our work. Is there a possibility to do it in a literal way? Can a cable, a line, even a story become our own thread?
With the use of different techniques towards the questions of volume and relationship between the body and the object, we will try to find new formats of work and of dealing with the work process. One of our aims will be to change our positions during the realization of the works, to be able to discover new ways of dealing with them. During this process we will pay special attention to the idea of space and its possibilities to start a creative process, as well as the way we attach the different elements of the work.
One of the main intentions of this workshop is the realization of fast exercises, that can be later useful for the own independent work of the participants.
To take part in the workshop, it is necessary to send, via e-mail, three pictures of the participant’s work.
It is necessary, as well, that the participants take some materials with them, that they are no used to work with. It is recommended that these ones allow a fast use/manipulation, in order to be able to make fast exercises.
